This month Adventure Girl (aka, Kathy Burgstahler) talks entertainment. World Class Entertainment (with many acts direct from Las Vegas or Europe) that you don’t have to travel miles and miles for, and that won’t cost you and your family the earth.
The Cardinia Cultural Centre in Lakeside Boulevard Pakenham is located approximately 40 minutes by car from Warragul. It hosts some of the most sought-after productions, performances and artists touring Melbourne, as well as smaller community and amateur performances. It also caters for events of all kinds, including casual lunches or coffees in the beautiful Vista Cafe (so called because it overlooks the Lake), business functions, exhibitions and weddings.
The theatre itself is beautifully appointed and seats 356 people. Adventure Girl is obsessed with attending as many shows as she can at the Cardinia Cultural Centre because not only are they more intimate affairs where she can get up close and personal with the performance but afterwards, she can LITERALLY get up close and personal with the performers for a ‘selfie’ and meet and greet. That’s the beauty of attending a performance in such a lovely community venue. The events are more personal, more intimate, and way more fun as you actually can get more involved and leave feeling like you’ve had not just a ‘show’ but an experience!
Information on upcoming events are available on their website and some of the exciting things coming up include John Paul Young in April and the Melbourne City Ballet in July.
