About the role

As a Disability Support Worker specialising in high complex care, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and tailored support to individuals with physical and mental disabilities and those experiencing the challenges of ageing and dementia.

We offer 24/7 shifts from Monday to Sunday, including active shifts and every 2nd weekend. We welcome applications from candidates who are partially qualified or passionate individuals seeking a new career. Must be available between 6.30 AM and 7 PM.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering personalised care and assistance to clients in their daily activities.
  •  Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, and medication management.
  • Implementing care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in the health and well-being of clients.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance the overall quality of life.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for clients.

About You:

  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
  • Seeking a career change for growth and development, eager to learn knowledge through on-the-job learning.
  • Previous experience in disability support, particularly in high complex care settings is highly regarded.
  • Certification or qualifications in disability support, aged care, or a related field is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of physical and mental disabilities and the challenges associated with ageing/dementia is highly regarded.
