The Queens birthday weekend is coming up in about a months time, which brings with it the Latrobe Valley Model Railway Association Bi- annual Model Railway Exhibition at Kernot Hall Morwell, as usual the club will displaying there layouts. On Exhibition this year they have two big layouts, The Valley and Moe. The Valley has been the centre point of the clubs exhibition for the last 10 years and this year makes it’s return along side the newest layout Moe, which will have it’s first major debut at the Exhibition. The Valley features trains from all over Europe, while Moe will be recapping history both old and new. Alongside LVMRA, many other enthusiast will be exhibiting layouts, coming from all over Victoria and NSW. Many of which are locals stretching from Traralgon to Pakenham as well as people from interstate and from Melbourne. Everything on display from Australian and American to European and British, and everything in between and I mean everything. One of the major highlights of the show will be the Victorian Railways Lego Gauge Modellers, as they will be exhibiting there largest layout featuring Victorian Railways Trains made completely of Lego featuring Puffing Billy, the V/locity trains and many more Victorian Favourites. And if watching trains isn’t enough, why not ride the miniature steam engine provided by the gentleman from the Model Railway Engineers As well as model train layouts there will be the usual supply of vendors from Train World, Hobbies Plus, Road and Rail Hobbies, and the ever popular second-hand stall where there is always a bargain to be had, as well as some great advice to budding railways enthusiasts. So make sure you get down to Kernot Hall this Queens birthday weekend, bring the family down and spend the day admiring the ingenuity, the creativity and passion of these model railway enthusiasts.
