On 28th of June come and see the Royal Australian Navy Band and the Victoria Police Pipe Band honour the centenary of ANZAC. Coming off the back of spectacular sellout performances with Andre Rieu in 2016, the Victoria Police Pipe Band are more than ready to put on a show and after their performance at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo last year, the Royal Australian Navy Band need no introduction. The concert will feature Colour Guards from local Australian Defence Force Cadet Units, displays from local RSL clubs, a visual sound and light show along with guest speakers providing their insights about ANZAC’s battles n 1917, the RSL and the legacy of ANZAC. The music will be varied, featuring tunes from the ANZAC era through to modern top 40 hits and movie themes from the likes of “Frozen” and “The Sound Of Music”. The concert will be compered by Andy Johns of TRFM fame and will include lucky ticket giveaways, plus the Mounted Lighthouse Troopers and traditional Highland dancers. Morwell Lion’s Club and Morwell Rotary will be providing refreshments, tea and coffee as well as assisting with ticketing, volunteering and disabled assistance on the day.
