About the role
We currently have a Senior Recovery Community Clinician position in LRH's Mental Health team in Latrobe Valley for a suitably qualified Community Mental Health Clinician to join our friendly and passionate Mental Health Department on a full-time, fixed term basis.
The Senior Community Clinician will provide leadership and support services and be responsible to diagnose, care coordinate, provide evidence-based treatment, psycho-education and consumer and family collaboration across the team in Traralgon.
This position includes conducting assessments in a timely manner as determined by risk, urgency, distress, dysfunction and disability per the National Mental Health Triage Scale, utilising the CMI (Client Management Interface) database and perform urgent acute clinical assessment and routine assessment, working with consumers and carers in safety planning and promoting and delivering high-quality, evidence-based holistic treatment (pharmacological and therapeutic intervention) within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework.
Our Mental Health Department services a diverse caseload in the acute and subacute inpatient units of our hospital and also provides Community Mental Health Services in various areas of Gippsland. As the regional referral hospital for Gippsland, LRH plays a lead role in the provision of specialist services and as a major teaching hospital.
