Business Support Manager
Position Summary
Bass Coast Health is seeking a finance professional to become a member of the Business Management team. This team provides our operational departments with business services and financial management support, through effective stakeholder relationships to facilitate and support financial literacy improvements, support cultural change, and lead financial governance reform and system and process initiatives. Health Service experience is not essential. We want someone who has a willingness to learn, ability to get along with people to further understand the business and is able to utilise and apply financial skills to different parts of the business, assisting to improve the overall health service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Governance: Development and implementation of business objectives and initiatives to align with the financial management implementation plan (FMIP) and Business Action Plan (BAP)
- Financial Accounting & Reporting: Analysis to connect activity with financial performance
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Performance Initiatives to drive financial management and performance against budget and business plans
- Business Cases, Financial Evaluation and Acquittals: Assist in evaluating tenders and business cases by providing costing analysis and financial evaluation. Help to prepare funding acquittals. Lead/participate in negotiations with government and other relevant organisations to maximise BCH’s financial sustainability
Requirements:
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Flu Vaccination
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in accurate processing of financial transactions including strong account analysis, costings, building and evaluating business cases, and effective reconciliation skills
- Ability to establish a seat at the table through good working relationships that lead to financial assistance that improves the health service as a whole
- Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Accounting qualifications and/or experience
