EOI Post Graduate Student Midwife (paid model)
Position Summary
Bass Coast Health (BCH) Maternity Service supports approximately 200 low risk women to give birth per year. Midwives provide pregnancy care & assessment, labour, post-natal and domiciliary care in collaboration with Obstetricians and General Practitioners.
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses who intend to apply for a position in the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at Federation University Australia, Gippsland Campus or equivalent alternative.
The position commences in February 2025 on a part-time basis over two years. The successful applicant will work in an employment model at Bass Coast Health within maternity services, gaining exposure and experiences across the full spectrum of prenatal, birth and postnatal care.
Requirements of the position are:
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health Officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination directives
- Flu Vaccination
- A minimum of 1-year Acute Nursing Experience
