Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Armitage (Internal Applicants ONLY)
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager role is a leadership position within the Sub-Acute ward (Armitage).
The ANUM is responsible for efficient, safe patient flow, including liaising with Health Service Coordinators to achieve swift transfers within the organisation. This is in conjunction with the Nurse Unit Manager and the large range of multidisciplinary colleagues.
This dynamic role requires a high level of clinical knowledge and must possess a high level of leadership capabilities to ensure the team in Kodowlinun remains supported to provide the best possible care.
The delivery of Best Practice Standards requires an expert level of proactiveness, with high-level engagement to undertake other duties such as portfolio, project, and education responsibilities.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Registration with Nursing Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical area of application is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a clear understanding of the managerial responsibilities of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager
- Entitlement to work within Australia
- A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
- Provision of valid Working with Children Check
- Provision of a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination and seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
Desirable:
- Attends and actively contributes to local team meetings
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and consultatively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all major stakeholders both internal and external
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions in a variety of complex situations
