About the opportunity
Join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our established Op Shop in Sale. Supervise a team of employees & volunteers, ensuring a dynamic & positive customer experience It’s a great opportunity to be part of a friendly community, it’s lively and varied!
Our Op Shops team are responsible for bringing their creative flair to create visually appealing and contemporary Op Shops. We encourage and build a culture of productivity, imagination, innovation, change and development. Our Op Shops allow you to tap into your natural way of being creative, enthusiastic, and having fun.
Our aim is to delight people in a meaningful and memorable way, while offering positive customer experiences, high level visual merchandising, critical stock and space management, achieving sales targets, and celebrating Uniting’s culture.

What’s on offer
It’s a part time permanent role, working Friday to Sunday from 9:09am to 5:15pm. We may be flexible with days for the right candidate – call us to talk about your availability!
In addition to a base salary commencing at $27.17p/hr + superannuation, you will have access to:
- An extra 17.5% on top of your fortnightly pay when you take paid annual leave
- Ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits which can be used for living expenses such as rent, groceries, bills, clothing, and much more.
- 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for fashion and charity retail and have a flair for visual merchandising.
You will ideally have experience in cash handling, register operations and closing procedures and be confident in supervising a team as well as working on your own.
