The YES Youth Hub Program Coordinator offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in Bass Coast. This is driven by building connection with young people, through engagement (drop in) activities at the Youth Hub, youth events and impactful programs.
About the Role
The Y & YES Youth Hub are seeking a Youth focused leader to join the team at the YES Youth Hub and are excited to offer this opportunity to be part of the team.
The future team member will;
- Support young people by creating a welcoming and friendly space, ensuring safety and comfort of all young people visiting the service.
- Have flexibility with times as some after hours and work on different days may be required.
- Assist young people to identify their support needs and develop referral pathways through local youth support services.
- Lead the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)
- Assist with the development and coordination of Community Events, YES Youth Hub events and programs
- Contribute to a work environment that values the contributions made by staff and young people using the Hub and accessing support, that is healthy and safe, free of discrimination and which seeks to maintain support for young people.
- Support a culture of continuous learning and development across the team
About You
- Have demonstrated experience actively engaging with young people who present with multiple and complex needs.
- Have knowledge of the youth and community services sector and an understanding of information and referral processes and pathways
- Commit to professionalism and respect when working or interacting with stakeholders or young people
- Hold a certificate 4 in Youth Services (or equivalent)
- Hold a current First Aid/CPR Certificate
This is a part-time role with a starting rate of $37.35 per hour + Super + Y Benefits.
