About this Program
Funded by Gippsland Primary Health Network, our PSS program will deliver psychosocial services through the established mental health stepped-care model.
Our Psychosocial Support Services has intentionally been developed through testing with participants, carers and referrers to ensure timely, needs-based, capacity building services which not only support mental health recovery and exit from services, but the assessment and successful navigation through to NDIS and ongoing psychosocial supports under NDIS.
About the opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, especially those who have helped establish the region as a beautiful place to live and work. Under the general direction of the Team Leader, this role will be responsible for providing the day-to-day wellbeing sessions for Gippsland.
To be successful in this role
- Minimum Diploma and/or relevant experience in Mental Health or other related discipline
- Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

About the opportunity
Our team of supportive and enthusiastic members is currently on the look for a dedicated Wellbeing Worker who will assist in improving the lives of community members.
You will work individually and as a team within the principles of a recovery oriented mental health practice. As a wellbeing worker you will work towards the engagement of community members through developing professional and trusting relationships with them and relevant stakeholders.

The role of the Wellbeing worker exists to improve accessibility to the health system for individuals with severe mental illness and associated psychosocial disorders. The Wellbeing worker will provide psychosocial supports across the Gippsland region.
As Wellbeing worker you will engage with and advocate for individuals, connect them with the appropriate support networks and empower them on their recovery journey. Building and drawing upon Wellways’ Community Recovery Model, the Wellbeing worker will establish and enhance coordinated referral processes as well as community support services focused on psychosocial support needs such as housing, employment, education, family support and financial matters.
You will need:
Relevant qualification or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with mental illness, generally a Diploma qualification or above
Current valid Driver’s License
Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
Right to Work within Australia
Satisfactory National Police Records Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
