- Bass Coast & South Gippsland | Part-Time (21 hrs/week) | 12-month contract

Are you passionate about community-led change and the shift to a fair, regenerative energy future? Mycelia Energy Collective (MEC) is looking for a Project Co-ordinator to help drive place-based energy initiatives in partnership with regional and First Nations communities.
You’ll work closely with our Managing Director and community collaborators to deliver hands-on energy education, audits, peer learning programs, and innovative local solutions—starting in Venus Bay and Tarwin Lower and expanding across South Gippsland and Bass Coast.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating home and community energy efficiency upgrades and audits
- Supporting peer-to-peer learning and producing energy literacy materials
- Partnering with groups like Venus Bay Community Centre to share tools and co-design solutions
- Facilitating community workshops and delivering shared initiatives
- Helping shape the strategic direction of local energy plans
- Tracking project outcomes and supporting the development of our Community Benefit-Sharing Fund
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience (or strong interest) in community-led projects, especially in energy or sustainability
- Great communication skills across written, verbal, digital and in-person channels
- Ability to collaborate with diverse partners—local residents, First Nations groups, councils, and small businesses
- Strong project coordination skills and the ability to work independently
- A genuine connection to the values of Mycelia and our communities
The Details:
- Start Date: April–May 2025
- Location: Work from Venus Bay Community Centre or the Mycelia office and from home
- Travel: Some travel across Bass Coast, South Gippsland and occasionally to Melbourne/regional Vic
- Allowances: $25/week for home office + travel and meal allowances for work trips
- Employment Type: 21 hours per week, flexible schedule, 12-month contract
