About the role
As an integral member of the Graduate Research School you will have responsibilities for the management of courses and curriculum, and for the development and delivery of research skills and supervision training. You will also have some broad administrative functions within the Graduate Research School, while undertaking your own research and HDR supervision activities.
You will:
- lead the development and delivery of research training and research supervision training for Higher Degree by Research Candidates and their supervisors;
- undertake research activities, including supervising HDR candidates; and
- contribute to the administrative functions of the Graduate Research School, particularly with respect to curriculum and course management.
About you
You will work as part of the team of academic and administrative staff within Federation University’s Graduate Research School, supporting graduate research activities across all campuses and locations, and all disciplines. You will possess proven educational, research, research training and professional experience, with an understanding of the contemporary professional and educational issues related to graduate research. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.
You will possess:
- demonstrated commitment to graduate research training and enthusiasm for the development of research skills in others in the context of graduate research and supervision ;
- experience in course and/or curriculum management;
- experience in delivering content in a multi-campus context;
- demonstrated record of research at a national level;
- demonstrated capacity to supervise higher degree by research candidates; and
- excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
