Permanent Part Time Dietitian - Community Services
Position Summary
The Grade 2 Dietitian delivers high-quality assessments and interventions aimed at enhancing the functional independence, health, safety, and quality of life for community-based clients. With a strong commitment to the Active Service Model, they emphasise client-centered care, collaborative practice, and evidence-based approaches to achieve positive outcomes.
Working within a team environment, the Grade 2 Dietitian is dedicated to continuous quality improvement across various sites and settings. They may also provide supervision for dietetics students and offer peer support to Grade 1 staff members in partnership with the Grade 3 Dietitian.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics/Masters of Dietetics or recognised equivalent
- Member of or eligible for membership with the Dietitians Australia and the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
- Participating in the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program or able to demonstrate equivalence
- Victorian Driver’s licence
- A valid Police Check
- Working with Children’s Check
- NDIS Workers Check
- Flu Vaccination
Desirable
- Proven experience providing dietetic services to individuals, families, and groups in the community
- Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations
- Strong organisational, planning, and priority-setting skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of person-centred care
- Ability to meet administrative and reporting requirements within set timeframes
- Active involvement in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
