Grade 3 General Medicine Physiotherapist
Position Summary
The Grade 3 General Medicine Physiotherapist is a clinical expert in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, responsible for providing and coordinating Acute Care services at Bass Coast Health across the Emergency Department and Acute Care ward. They contribute to the ongoing development of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs and have experience on expert advisory committees.
They provide clinical leadership in quality, risk management, education, and research while supervising the inpatient physiotherapy team and Allied Health Assistants. Additionally, they lead service improvement initiatives and may deputise for the Physiotherapy Team Leader.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or recognised equivalent
- Holds, or eligible for, Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) membership
- Cardiorespiratory program development across ED, inpatients, and community care
- Supervision of Grade 2 inpatient staff through supervision structure
- Support student placements in inpatients
- Develop and support quality projects
- Deputise for the Physiotherapy Team Leader
- Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Victorian Driver’s licence
- A valid Police Check
- Working with Children’s Check
- NDIS Workers Check
- Flu Vaccination
