CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).
 Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation. 
CGH also provides aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire and beyond. 
We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield delivering high-quality, person-centred care in supportive and homelike environments. 
CGH provides a wide range of community-based services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes the provision of Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programs, and other in-home services tailored to individual needs. 
Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to enhance community wellbeing. 
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About the Role - Permanent Part Time (EFT 0.9)

To provide senior Nurse Leadership and high-quality client focused wound management and stomal therapy services. 
The Clinical Nurse Consultant is an active Nurse Leader at CGH in this field and supports the achievement of the CGHS Nursing Excellence of Care standards and the associated Service Charter of Nursing.

Duties

• Provide effective day to day clinical care coordination and service delivery to stomal therapy and wound management clients.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that supports stomal therapy and wound management service delivery across the care continuum.
• Provide leadership and advocacy for stomal therapy and wound management clients across the care continuum.
• Sensitively establish, maintain and adapt effective therapeutic partnerships with individuals and their caregivers and family that are person centred and therefore address the individual’s needs, circumstances and preferences.
• Enable complex supportive care by demonstrating advanced stomal therapy/wound management knowledge and skills in meeting the multiple, complex care needs of individuals, their caregivers and family, across the continuum of care and in the context of an interdisciplinary approach to care.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
1.    Registered Nurse holding current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
2.    Relevant post graduate/technical qualifications or experience in Stomal Therapy;
3.    Relevant post graduate/technical qualifications in Wound Management.
