A great opportunity to get commercial experience in the food and beverage industry. Be involved in every step of the process—from receiving fruit and pressing to fermentation management, aging, blending, and packaging. You will work directly with our head cider maker to maintain strict quality standards and deliver a consistent, exceptional product.
Requirements
Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods, work in cold/wet cellar conditions, and safely lift up to 25kg.
Availability: 2-3 days per week.
Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to sanitation, precision & cleaning.
Workplace Safety: Familiarity with chemical safety, safe handling of high-pressure equipment, and cellar procedures.
Bonus: Technical repairs skills & machine servicing capability.
Key Responsibilities
Fruit Processing & Fermentation: Assist with fruit receiving, milling, pressing, yeast inoculation, and monitoring active fermentations (tracking gravity, temperature, and pH).
Cellar Operations: Perform transfers, rackings, carbonation management, and fining/filtration.
Packaging: Operate and assist with bottling, canning, and kegging runs.
Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintain strict sanitation protocols (CIP) across all tanks, hoses, pumps, and packaging equipment.
