The Position:
The role of Recruitment & Support Practitioner is to work within a collaborative team approach, and participate in the recruitment, marketing, training and assessment of prospective home-based carers, including assessment reports. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with local media, community groups, schools and other agencies /stakeholders.
To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or other relevant area
- Extensive experience in child, youth and family welfare experience, with particular experience in out of home care
- Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy and practice environment of out of home care
- Skills and experience in supervision of carers
- Current Victorian (or equivalent) drivers license
- Demonstrated skills in case management
- Well-developed organisational skills
- Understanding of, and capacity to act according to the principles and intent of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
