We are looking for energetic, passionate and professional Support Workers to join our team. South Gippsland Supports is a Local, Registered NDIS Provider dedicated to delivering high-quality person-centred support care and providing positive outcomes for participants of all ages.
About Us:
At South Gippsland Supports, we provide
Individualised support in clients homes and within the community
Short-Term Respite (STR) in our two beautiful respite units.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living tasks, personal care and community access
Provide compassionate, respectful, and reliable support
Support clients during STA/respite stays
Engage children in play-based and developmental activities (with guidance from Early Years Practitioner)
Work as part of a professional, supportive, values-driven team.
Provide Medication Assistance: within personal scope of practice and training
Implement Individual Behavior Support Plans and work with Positive Behavior Support strategies.
Essential Criteria:
Passion for helping others live their best lives
Reliability, empathy, and strong communication skills
Ability to work independently (as required) and exercise initiative as well as work collaboratively within a team environment
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Disability, Aged Care or Community Services (or willingness to work towards this)
Experience in disability support including Positive Behaviour Support (desirable but not essential, training provided)
Current First Aid Certificate, NDIS Screening Check, WWCC, National Police Check
Valid Driver’s Licence
