About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and drive the strategic success of Paynesville Gardens Care Community.

Our Care Community offers a warm, home-like environment with 24/7 clinical care and a focus on personalised resident wellbeing. Nestled in the stunning Gippsland Lakes region of Victoria, Paynesville Gardens Care Community offers a waterside lifestyle surrounded by parklands. Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens and courtyards, the community combines expert care with genuine country-style hospitality. with Indoor and outdoor living spaces, plus a bar and hair salon onsite, residents and team members enjoy a vibrant, welcoming environment that supports connection, comfort, and an enriched lifestyle.

• Lead and inspire clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver a high-performing, values-led culture
• Own performance outcomes across care quality, financials, compliance and resident experience
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families, team members and the local community
• Drive operational excellence through strong systems, continuous improvement and capable leaders
• Champion Opal’s C.A.R.E values in every decision and action

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader in a highly regulated, service-led environment (e.g. aged care, health, community services or similar sectors)

• Strong ability to inspire and develop teams, fostering an engaged, high-performing culture
• Commercial acumen with strong financial capability and a commitment to quality care
• Highly effective communication skills with a visible, hands-on leadership style
• Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks, quality standards and risk management
• AHPRA registration (highly regarded), or relevant qualifications/experience in a related field
