Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Dialysis) to join our growing team on a part time (0.8EFT) fixed term basis for two years.

 

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Dialysis) supports the operational management, coordination and development of the Dialysis Unit at Latrobe Regional Health. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high‑quality haemodialysis care while supporting efficient patient flow, workforce coordination and continuity of care. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, the ANUM provides clinical leadership, oversees day‑to‑day unit operations and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and service delivery aligned with organisational standards and policies.

The role of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Dialysis) is to:

• Support the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred dialysis care in accordance with clinical standards, policies and best practice guidelines.
• Assist the Nurse Unit Manager with day‑to‑day operational management of the Dialysis Unit, including coordination of patients, staff and transport requirements.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive team culture and promoting professional development.
• Oversee patient flow within the unit, ensuring effective scheduling and coordination of dialysis treatments.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, NSQHS standards and clinical governance requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care and continuous improvement of dialysis services.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• A solid clinical background in nursing, with experience relevant to dialysis, acute care or complex patient management.
• Proven or emerging leadership skills, with the ability to support team coordination, staff development and unit operations.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and compliance with NSQHS standards.
• Flexibility, adaptability and a proactive approach to supporting change and service development.
