Casual Handyman

POSITION OVERVIEW

Wilsons Prom Motel is seeking a reliable, practical and hands-on Casual Handyman to assist with the general upkeep and maintenance of the motel, rooms and grounds.

This is a flexible casual position, ideally commencing around 9:00am–10:00am, with shifts generally being 2–4 hours at a time, approximately 2–4 days per week. Hours may increase as motel occupancy picks up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• General maintenance and minor repairs throughout motel rooms and property.

• General upkeep and maintenance of motel grounds.

• Gardening, mowing, weeding and keeping outdoor areas tidy.

• Cleaning and maintaining BBQ areas.

• Stocking and organising linen storerooms.

• Stripping linen from dirty rooms when required to assist housekeeping.

• Changing batteries in room and property door locks when required.

• Checking rooms and common areas for general maintenance issues.

• Reporting any larger maintenance issues to the Motel Manager.

• Assisting with general property improvements and upkeep.

• Keeping maintenance areas, tools and equipment clean and organised.

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a good standard.

• Assisting with other reasonable tasks as required by management.

HOURS

Casual position:
Generally 2–4 hours per shift, 2–4 days per week, preferably commencing between 9:00am and 10:00am.

Hours will be flexible and may increase as motel occupancy and operational requirements increase.
