Kennel Assistant

We're a small, tight team that loves what we do, and we're looking for someone reliable to join us.

Jack's K9 Place is a busy boarding kennel and cattery in Morwell. People trust us with their dogs and cats while they're away, and that trust is built on showing up and doing the job properly. We look after each other so we can look after the animals, and we need someone who'll fit into that.

The role

3 or 4 days per week, 8am to 5pm. Most days you'll get a generous 1.5 to 2 hour lunch break in the middle of the day. There's a rotating weekend roster, plus some public holiday and Christmas work. The animals don't take a day off, so we need someone who'll turn up when rostered, every time.

You'll be working alongside people who are just as passionate about animals as you are.

What we're looking for

Reliability first.  Beyond that, we want someone with a genuine love of dogs and cats.  You'll need to be comfortable with the messy, physical side of the job, be able to work unsupervised at times and and have your own transport to get to Morwell.

We'll show you how we do things here. We hold ourselves to a high standard because the animals in our care deserve nothing less.

If you're someone who turns up, cares about the work, doesn't mind getting stuck in, and wants to be part of our team, hit the apply button and we'll be in touch.
