Food & Beverage Manager

For more than 100 years, Wonthaggi Workmen's Club has been a cornerstone of the local community. We're proud of our heritage and strong community ties, and we offer a welcoming, vibrant space for members and guests alike. Our busy venue features 55 EGMs, a TAB and Sports Bar, a Family Bistro, a children's playground and versatile function facilities. Whether people come to us for entertainment, a meal or simply to catch up, the Club remains a trusted gathering place for everyone.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join us full time and oversee all aspects of food and beverage service across our Bistro and Function Room, which together seat approximately 200 guests, seven days a week.

You'll work a flexible rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have at least two years' experience in a management role

• Deliver food and beverage experiences that exceed our patrons' expectations

• Manage bookings, optimise floor plans and coordinate functions

• Be creative, friendly and outgoing, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service

• Lead a diverse team and stay calm and professional under pressure

• Train, motivate and mentor staff, and lead by example

• Resolve issues and handle customer complaints with tact and professionalism

• Have a sound understanding of OHS requirements
