Blue Wren Disability Services is looking for experienced, compassionate and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to join our team, with an immediate opportunity to cover 4 weeks of staff leave.

Subcontractors are welcome to apply !

We are looking for applicants with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the disability sector, who are confident supporting participants with Behaviours of Concern (BOC), Manual Handling and Personal Care.

💙 ABOUT THE ROLE

You will provide high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, choice and community inclusion.

Shifts may include

• Community access and outings

• Daily living assistance and personal care

• Appointments and recreational activities

• Manual handling, hoisting and safe transfers

• Supporting participants with Behaviours of Concern

• Supported Independent Living (SIL) and sleepover shifts

🚺WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a confident and experienced female support worker who has:

• Previous experience providing personal care

• Confident and experienced using hoists and following safe manual handling practices

• Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support approaches

• The ability to provide compassionate, patient, and reliable support to participants with complex support needs

• Shifts available 7 days a week, 7am–midnight

✅ ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years' disability support experience

• Demonstrated experience supporting BOC

• Demonstrated manual handling and hoisting experience

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check – Employee

• Current First Aid & CPR certificates

• Completion of all 4 required NDIS Worker Orientation Modules

• Current Driver's Licence and reliable, fully insured vehicle

• Current Infection Control Certificate

• Current Manual Handling Certificate

• Medication Handling Certificate
