Dispatch Coordinator

About the Opportunity

Our Mitre 10 Trade Centre in Wonthaggi, Victoria is on the lookout for a reliable, organised and proactive Dispatch Coordinator to take charge of daily logistics and help ensure smooth, on-time deliveries for our customers and builders.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll manage delivery schedules, coordinate with drivers, resolve delivery issues, and handle customer service queries. You'll play a key role in making sure our customers have a seamless experience, every time.

This is a full-time 38-hour position with great hours, Monday to Friday starting from approximately 6:30am or 7am. It’s perfect for someone who enjoys coordination and problem-solving.

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries using our Delivery Management System (DMS)
• Plan delivery runs and effectively communicate schedules with drivers
• Keep customers informed and provide exceptional service throughout the delivery process
• Resolve delivery, scheduling, and stock-related issues to minimise disruptions
• Allocate and prepare stock for dispatch while maintaining a safe and organised warehouse
• Support the Site Manager with logistics, reporting, and day-to-day operations
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, reporting, and documentation to support business operations

You will bring

• Proven experience in logistics, scheduling, or distribution
• Background in trade or warehousing is a plus (but not essential)
• A current forklift licence essential
• HR & Crane Truck licence an advantage
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Great attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Familiarity with DMS platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
