H&S Firearms, in Sale, is a small family-owned business specialising in supporting customers with interests in shooting sports, hunting and outdoor recreational activities. We are looking for a full time (Monday-Saturday) retail salesperson to join our team. All applicants must hold a current Victorian Firearms Licence. Knowledge of the industry is not essential but would be highly advantageous. A hardworking attitude with a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills is essential. This role requires a friendly, reliable, trustworthy and motivated individual who works well within a small team but who also has the ability to work autonomously.
Duties:
- Customer service - greet and acknowledge customers in a timely manner.
- Assisting customers with sales enquiries and product selection.
- Recording customer orders and informing customers when orders arrive.
- Cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.
- Receiving and unloading stock deliveries from suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate stock records and data entry.
- Restocking shelves and stocktaking.
- Ensuring shop front is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
Skills and experience:
- Knowledge of the Firearms industry not essential but highly advantageous.
- Experience in sales/customer service advantageous.
- Applicant must be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and punctual.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Proficiency in English essential.
- Forklift licence advantageous.
