Mandatory Requirements
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Computer and keyboard skills
- Typing and Word processing skills
- High level of organisational and time management skills
- Ability to assess and prioritise workload within an environment of competing demands
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, relatives and staff
- Good written and oral communication skills including the ability to enter data when required in a timely manner
- Valid Police Check
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Healthcare to whom the mandatory vaccination (influenza vaccination) directions apply, will be required to be vaccinated annually
DESIRABLE:
- Ability to use hospital-based software
- Willingness to seek advice from peers
- Ability to use the phone system, photocopier and fax machines
- Available for all shifts; am pm night shift and public holidays
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
