About the role
As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of units within occupational therapy at undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the Institutes research, course and administrative functions.
At Level B you will:
- undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
- develop, teach, lead and moderate units;
- undertake research activities; and
- supervise students undertaking project units and honours courses.
At Level C you will:
- provide leadership in developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating units;
- undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
- supervise students undertaking project units, honours courses and research higher degrees; and
- making a significant contribution to research activity.
About you
You will work as part of the Institute’s team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission.
You will hold a qualification in an allied health discipline (occupational therapy, physiotherapy).
At Level B you will possess:
- commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement;
- demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record;
- previous experience in academic administration; and
- evidence of research expertise.
At Level C you will possess:
- demonstrated record of research at a national level;
- demonstrated capacity to supervise honours and research postgraduate students;
- capacity to work independently, as well as part of a team; and
- organisational and administrative abilities necessary for the construction, coordination and administration of units.
