The Coffee Collective is seeking a Part-Time/ Casual Cook/Chef to join our vibrant team in Wonthaggi, VIC. As a key member of our hospitality crew, you will be responsible for preparing a range of delicious and high-quality meals for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the success of our thriving local café.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing a variety of hot and cold menu items to our high standards
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are maintained at all times
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Assisting with stock control and ordering of kitchen supplies
- Contributing to the development of new menu items and recipes
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace
What we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications or experience in commercial food preparation
- Certificate IV Commercial Cookery qualification is required
- Minimum 1-2 years commercial cooking experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes
- A positive, customer-centric attitude and the ability to work well in a team
- Must have Australian work rights
