Apprentice Painter (Any Year)
Problast Victoria | Morwell, VIC | Full Time

Looking to build a real trade career close to home? Problast Victoria is on the hunt for apprentice painters, and all years are welcome to apply. You'll be working towards your Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, the nationally recognized qualification for the trade.

We're a protective coatings contractor based in Morwell, and we're moving into larger-scale, higher-spec industrial and infrastructure work across Victoria. As we grow, we want people who want to grow with us. You'll learn from experienced industrial painters in a friendly, supportive team that genuinely wants to see you develop. Painters and decorators are encouraged to apply too.

We hold ourselves to high standards, and we'll teach you to do the same. If you care about doing the job properly, take pride in your work and want to build a career on serious industrial projects, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be learning and doing

  • Receiving projects

  • Loading and unloading projects (forklift course provided)

  • Blasting and equipment maintenance

  • Setting up projects for painting

  • Cutting in, rolling and spraying (conventional and airless operations)

  • Working across our Morwell workshop and local on-site jobs

What we're looking for

  • Someone who wants to be part of a growing team and grow with the business

  • A genuine care for quality and pride in your work

  • A self-motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Someone reliable and hardworking who works well in a team

  • Driver's license (essential)

  • Forklift license is advantageous but not required

What we offer

  • A supported apprenticeship leading to a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating

  • Long-term, stable and secure employment

  • Real career development as we take on larger, higher-spec projects

  • Optional overtime available

  • A team culture built on integrity and excellence
