The Wonthaggi Workers Club isn’t just a club. It’s the heart of the community, where locals catch up with mates, celebrate milestones, have a flutter on the raffles and enjoy a great night out. We’re on the hunt for a friendly, energetic Casual Receptionist to be the first face people see when they walk through our doors.

You’ll be joining a great, supportive team who genuinely look out for each other, have a laugh together and take real pride in making every member and guest feel right at home.

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming members and guests with a warm smile and top notch customer service

• Helping visitors with enquiries about our facilities, services and events

• Answering phone calls and pointing callers in the right direction

• Processing new memberships and renewals, and keeping member details up to date

• Getting involved in member promotions, raffles and club activities

• Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions and keeping accurate records

• Helping with motel enquiries, reservations and guest check ins when needed

• Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and looking its best

• Working alongside other departments to keep everything running smoothly

• Following club policies, procedures and compliance requirements

What you’ll bring

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A friendly, approachable and professional manner

• Basic computer skills and the confidence to pick up new systems

• The ability to juggle a few things at once and work on your own

• A sharp eye for detail and accuracy with cash handling

• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility with your hours

• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Previous reception, hospitality or customer service experience is a bonus, but not essential. If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll help you with the rest!
