- Part-time negotiable hours
- Based at Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association
- Between $26.30 per hour to $34.58 per hour plus superannuation , depending on qualifications and experience.
Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association (LEAHA) in partnership with Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal community members in and around the townships of Lakes Entrance, Metung and Swan Reach.
The Social & Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker will actively engage with the LEAHA Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Team to provide support to individuals, families and the Lakes Entrance Aboriginal community, addressing the social determinants that influence health and wellbeing.
As the SEWB Support Worker develops their knowledge and skills in the position, they will also assist with the development and delivery of quality programs and evidence-based health promotion initiatives with a strong focus on culture and healing.
Qualifications and Experience
- Commitment to enrol and complete a Cert III/IV/Diploma in Community Development, Mental Health, Social Work or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Lakes Entrance Aboriginal community and an understanding of its challenges and cultural strengths.
