Do you have a passion for history and like the idea of dressing in period costume to provide a guest experience?
Our not-for-profit volunteer committee is looking for friendly locals to help us not only preserve Gippsland’s rich heritage but to showcase it to visitors.
There’s a role for anyone with the passion:
- Heritage Guides – dress in period costume and share stories with school groups and/or park visitors.
- Heritage Shop Keep - become a part of the story and talk to guests about the history of our buildings, there's stories from police to post office, trades as well.
- Heritage Caretaker - look the part as you tidy up the buildings by dressing in period costume and perhaps window dressing, dusting, sweeping or gardening.
All training is provided for the above volunteer roles.
You’ll join a growing, supportive crew of volunteers who will show you the ropes until you’re confident to fly solo. Whether you’d like to focus on one area or mix it up, you’ll be making a real difference in keeping our region’s history alive.
If you’re keen to get involved, we’d love to hear from you, call Old Gippstown Heritage Park on 5127 3082 for further information or visit us at 211 Lloyd Street, Moe.
