MC Truck Driver - Brisbane to Maffra & Canberra

The Role

Casual Short-Term Role (Approx 3months) - Starting ASAP

The position will involve the delivery of our farm fresh products between our Victorian farm in Maffra and Brisbane.

No. of runs:

• Week 1: 1 x run (Brisbane → Maffra → Brisbane, Tuesday to Thursday night)
• Week 2: 2 x runs
• Run 1: Brisbane → Maffra → Brisbane (Sunday to Tuesday night)
• Run 2: Brisbane → Hume (Friday), trailer swap Saturday morning, return to Brisbane Market Saturday night

Rest breaks are generally taken near Hume (Canberra region) on both outbound and inbound trips. There is also opportunity for additional runs to support other drivers with leave and holidays.

Casual - Level 9: $0.6678c per km, plus allowances, hourly load/unload $45.38 per hour.

Truck: Kenilworth K200 with B double refrigerated van

Key Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading products using a forklift
• Transporting products to and from regional and remote locations nationally.
• Carry out basic truck maintenance routines and other operational documentation.
• Complying with NHVR legislation related to fatigue, permits and notices.
• Carry out all duties diligently with a safely first focus.
• Complete and supply weekly timesheets in the required format.
• Complete work diary entries via the Logmaster app.

• Positively represent the Dicky Bill brand during interactions with both internal and external customers.
• Undergo a Fitness to Drive medical every 3 years (Under the age of 49) or every 12mths (over the age of 49)
• A safety-first approach to your work to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.

Reporting to: Logistics Transport Planner

Desired Skills and Experience

• MC License with 3+ years’ experience (essential)
• (BFM) Basic Fatigue Management Certified TLIF0005 (required or willingness to obtain)
• Driving History record (required or willingness to obtain)
• Good mechanical aptitude, ability to schedule maintenance & servicing requirements to management and maintain truck in a clean & tidy state.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete and file required driving documentation
• Ability to supply a copy of driving record
• Will be required to complete a fitness to drive medical examination
• Sound Technology skills to use the Logmaster app
