Salesperson

H&S Firearms, in Sale, is a small family-owned business specialising in supporting customers with interests in shooting sports, hunting and outdoor recreational activities. We are looking for a full time (38 hours/week), Monday-Saturday, retail salesperson to join our team. All applicants must hold a current Victorian Firearms Licence. Knowledge of the industry is not essential but would be highly advantageous. A hardworking attitude with a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills is essential. This role requires a friendly, reliable, trustworthy and motivated individual who works well within a small team but who also has the ability to work autonomously.

Duties:

• Customer service - greet and acknowledge customers in a timely manner.
• Assisting customers with sales enquiries and product selection.
• Recording customer orders and informing customers when orders arrive.
• Cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.
• Receiving and unloading stock deliveries from suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and data entry.
• Restocking shelves and stocktaking.
• Ensuring shop front is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.

Skills and experience:

• Knowledge of the Firearms industry not essential but highly advantageous.
• Experience in sales/customer service advantageous.
• Applicant must be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and punctual.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficiency in English essential.
• Forklift licence advantageous.
